Hashiguchi Ryosuke helms his first feature film since Three Stories of Love nine years ago. Silver-screen version of the TV drama adapted from dramaturge Peyoung Maki's stage play by the same name.
Three sisters take their mother on a hot springs trip in a show of filial piety. Eldest daughter Yayoi (Eguchi Noriko) has a complex about her reputedly beautiful sisters, and middle daughter Manami (Uchida Chika) resents being compared to her high-achieving older sister. Youngest daughter Kiyomi (Furukawa Kotone) observes her sisters with cool detachment.
