In an unspecified town, Joe (Murakami Yukino) makes a living as a proxy who attends events on behalf of her clients. Nambei (Suwa Shuri) works at the Chinese restaurant that she frequents and has a crush on her. One day Joe is working as a proxy at a funeral and encounters Kaoru (Fujie Takuma), a mysterious man she once saw in a dream. Furthermore, it turns out that Kaoru is Nambei's friend who has been missing for the past five years.
