Director Ninomiya Ryutaro's coming-of-age ensemble drama is gaining international attention, with his previous film Dreaming in Between being an official selection in the ACID section at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
Wataru (Bando Ryota), a taciturn factory worker, Eiji (Takahashi Rion), a hot-blooded tavern worker, and Mitsunori (Shimizu Naoya), a mild-mannered caregiver, gather at the grave of another childhood friend who died in an accident several years prior. The three men question their lives and, under the guise of "world reformation," turn their fangs against the minor infractions and discrimination of the townspeople.
