Negishi Soichi (Matsuyama Kenichi) moves from a country town in Oita prefecture to Tokyo to chase his dream of becoming a trendy pop musician. Instead, he finds himself in a death metal band named Detroit Metal City (DMC) which is popular for its eccentric makeup and performances, as their guitarist and vocalist under the stage name of Johannes KrauserⅡ. Negishi hides it from Aikawa-san (Kato Rosa), who loves trendy songs, and continues with his street performance as a stylish musician. In the meantime, DMC's song, SATSUGAI (bloodshed), has a massive hit, beating other rival death metal bands and punk bands as well as hip-hop icons, and Krauser is catapulted into a charismatic position. When Jack Ill Dark, the world class icon of death metal in New York, decides to go on a world tour to battle other metal bands around the globe, DMC is chosen as his opponent in Japan.
