[ Story ]
This piece was submitted to the Momo Matsuri Presents Kiss! short film project that highlights up-and-coming female directors, created by the Momo Matsuri film screening group. It tells the story of a young girl and her single-minded quest to find a mother. The director, Beppu Yumiko, has won awards including the Gunma Short Film Collection Grand Prize for her debut work, Goshaku Sanzun (*1.6 meters). Its midsummer and Tokyo is suffering from a continuing water shortage. Eight year old Mina (Kawamura Maria) lives with her father, uncle, and cat, but without a mother she is not satisfied with her life. Although a young housekeeper visits every day, it does not satisfy the longing in her heart for a mother and so finally she decides that she will find one for herself.
