[ Story ]
Director Ise Shinichi, known for his heart-grabbing documentary films, uses some valuable footage to reflect on the footsteps of his old friend Watanabe Tetsuya who passed away in 2007. Watanabe, born in 1947 in Gifu Prefecture, set foot in the film industry after graduating from Tokyo Zokei University. An admirer of the botanist Makino Tomitaro, Watanabe left some major works behind including Between Life and Words - Makino Tomitaro and Makino Japan Botanical Guide- (Seimei to Kotoba no Hazama de - Makino Tomitaro to Makino Nihon Shokubutsu Zukan) which captures the nature of Hodaka, mainly of its plants. A poetical requiem brimming with love and friendship.
