[ Story ]
Seeking a fresh start in life, Hinami (Karina) applies for a part-time job cutting sugarcane on a plantation in Okinawa belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Taira (Kitamura Saburo and Yoshida Taeko). She soon finds herself working with four other young men and women on a remote island under the supervision of the experienced Yutaka (Omori Nao). Their task is to harvest all 70,000 sugarcane plants by the end of March, but the demanding physical labor and Yutaka's leadership soon causes problems. Despite the help of the Tairas' former neighbor, doubts arise as to the ability of the conflict-ridden group to make the deadline, and hope seems completely lost when Yutaka is involved in a car accident. However, they pull together and increase their daily working hours in order to make up for the shortfall and bring the harvest in on time.
An ensemble youth drama set in the picturesque Okinawan archipelago from director Shinohara Tetsuo (Inochi, KARAOKE TERROR).
