[ Story ]
In Homicevalo, Kyoto-based artist Takagi Masakatsu's goal is to fuse a higher dimension of music and images. On this project, Takagi collaborated with the Tama Art University Institute for Art Anthropology, where Nakazawa Shinichi is the director. This short film is part of a research project that aims to fundamentally rethink the relationship between people and animals. Taking as its motif the legend of the tragic love between a girl and a horse, known in Japan as the legend of Oshirasama, it features a 26 year old white horse and performance by Obuchi Yasuko, a horsewomen who once worked as a trick rider in French horse circus troupe, Zingaro. Together, they create images that are sublimely spiritual and mythical.
