A film adaptation of popular author Higashino Keigo's best selling novel, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies. A father is planning revenge on the young criminals who murdered his daughter and the police who are trying to stop him -this drama brings to light the deep divide within society between the truth behind juvenile delinquency and the feelings of the victims. Nagamine (Terao Akira) had brought up his beloved daughter single handedly and he is devastated when she is raped and killed by a teen gang. He receives a secret phone call that reveals the name and address of one of the culprits. He goes to the apartment, and in one of the rooms he finds a video tape of the crime.
