[ Story ]
The annual festival held in September, "Katakai Festival" in Niigata's Ojiya City is famous for its fireworks. This film is based on a true story from this town. In classic storytelling style, it depicts the bond between a girl who collapses from acute leukemia and her older brother. Shot on location, the fireworks are stunning as they light up against the sky. High school student Hana (Tanimura Mitsuki) returns home after 6 months in the hospital, and is shocked to find that her older brother Taro (Kora Kengo) has been living a reclusive life at home. Hana tries to drag him out of the house by making him join one of the town's local groups.
