[ Story ]
The critic Kato Shuichi was one of the intellectuals representative of Japan after the war and was also known as a pacifist who called for the Article Nine Association along with Oe Kenzaburo and others. This is a documentary filmed over the three years leading up to his death in 2008. As well as introducing Kato's life, it shows him in his last years, in conversations with the "ghosts" of historical figures, his former teachers, and friends who were students and died in the war. It also records the last interview of his life.
