[ Story ]

A drama based on a non-fiction novel by California-based writer Kadono Haruko, which tells the stories of her two autistic grandchildren as they grow up. The film is set in Japan and was presented at the Aichi International Women's Film Festival 2009. Ota Yumiko (Mabuchi Haruko), a writer, meets her three-year-old grandchild again for the first time in a while. Her daughter Yoko (Kato Shinobu) and her family used to live in the U.S. but came back to Japan. Yumiko soon notices her grandchild is autistic, and makes every effort to support Yoko; however, Yoko's mother-in-law rebukes Yoko with harsh words.
