A historic drama based on a true story. One of the Livespire series by Sony Corporation, which provides digital imaging, production/distribution of plays and other theater performances. The leading Japanese musical actor Ichimura Masachika and a young star Fujiwara Tatsuya who has extensive experience on stage such as Shakespeare's plays demonstrate remarkable acting skills. In 1600, an English man William Adams (Owen Teale) drifted ashore in Japan. He meets Tokugawa Ieyasu (Ichimura) just before he unites the whole country, and then William becomes the first ever "blue-eyed samurai" in Japan.
