[ Story ]
A documentary depicting the process whereby Tsumura Reijiroh, a Noh performer in the Kanze school, creates a new Takigi Noh play (a traditional Noh play shown outdoors and lit up by burning torches). The film is directed by Miyake Nagaru, who showed a young craftsman creating Noh masks in his previous work men-uchi and captures the traditional performing art from a unique perspective. Tsumura, a Noh performer, is asked to perform by Sado City of Niigata Prefecture and works on a Takagi Noh play based on the theme of Toki (the Japanese crested ibis), an endangered species in Japan. He completes the new Noh play in line with the poems written by local children about Toki. The day has come for his performance.
