Working from the screenplay written by Tengan Daisuke of the Acting Department at the Japan Academy of Moving Images, and on the heels of Rhinoceros horn (Sai no Tsuno), Director Izuchi Kishu has teamed up with students from the academy to deliver a coming-of-age tale. Haruki (Kamigawara Atsushi), a student at an agricultural high school, spends his days caked in mud and engaged in lotus root-harvesting practice. One day, he meets Aki (Chiba Miku), a transfer student who does not seem to let anyone in. One night, Haruki and Aki, who belongs to the astronomy club, find themselves sitting on the roof, watching the stars. Captivated by Aki, his commonplace days gradually begin to change.
