A feature film adaptation of a television series from the creators of MAMESHIBA and NEKO-TAXI, which established the new "middle-aged men and animals" sub-genre. It movingly portrays the relationship between a Samoyed dog, a popular breed in Japan for its smiling face, and a canine-averse office worker. Inukai Tamotsu (Kohinata Fumio) dislikes dogs despite his surname meaning "dog-owner" in Japanese, and when he returns home after a job assignment away from his family, he finds that they have adopted one in his absence. Feeling uncomfortable in his own home, he struggles to develop a rapport with the dog, but...
