[ Story ]
An adaptation of Naoki Prize-winning author Kakuta Mitsuyo's humanistic suspense novel, which was also made into a television series with a different cast and crew. It presents a powerful depiction of the sorrow of a woman who abducts the young daughter of the married man she is having an affair with and tries to raise her on her own, and the now grown-up girl who struggles to deal with her distorted upbringing. Kiwako (Nagasaku Hiromi), who has fallen in love with a married man, impulsively abducts his infant daughter. She is later arrested after four years on the lam, and the child is returned to her true parents. However, the now adult Erina (Inoue Mao) also finds herself in a relationship with a married man.
