[ Story ]
Based on the tearjerker manga by Murakami Takashi, turned into a live action drama with the original setting. Deals with social issues like job restructuring, middle-age divorce, and solitary death through depicting the deep bonds between a middle-aged man and his beloved dog. A man who appears to have died six months ago (Nishida Toshiyuki) and the corpse of a dog that died a month ago are discovered in a van abandoned in the mountains in Hokkaido. Okutsu (Tamayama Tetsuji), who works in the city hall welfare department, happens to meet a young girl named Yuki (Kawashima Umika), and together they follow the traces left behind.
