[ Story ]

An original story from director Inudo Isshin and scriptwriter Watanabe Aya, the team behind the highly successful Josee to Tora to Sakana Tachi (Josee, The Tiger and the Fish).
When Saori (Shibasaki Kou) found out her father was gay, she completely disowned him. Then one day, a man named Haruhiko (Odagiri Joe) comes to the paint company where she works and informs Saori that her father is dying of cancer. Haruhiko asks her to come and work at the old people's home her father runs. Saori is deeply in debt. Tempted by the huge salary and her father's fortune, she decides to accept the offer. She finds out that her father runs a retirement home for old, gay people called the "Maison de Himiko". Saori slowly warms to the eccentric inhabitants of the home and to Haruhiko, her father's boyfriend. When her father dies, Haruhiko has an affair with an old man in the home who used to be her father's "sugar daddy". When Saori finds out, she leaves the home to return to her old life. However, a few days later she is called back to the "Maison de Himiko". When the residents confess their feelings for her, she realizes that this is where she really belongs.
