[ Story ]
Documentary focusing on the contemporary artist Sugimoto Hiroshi, whose numerous awards within Japan and abroad include the Praemium Imperiale in 2009. In-depth coverage over an extended period of time of Sugimoto, who has broadened his range of activities over the past several years. Sugimoto's acclaim as a contemporary artist is such that it is not unusual for a single photograph to sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars at overseas auctions. Sugimoto got his start as a photographer, but is also well versed in Japanese art, and in recent years he has been involved in directing projects in the traditional arts. This film follows the extraordinarily busy days of Sugimoto.
