[ Story ]
A film adaptation of the novel of the same title by writer Inoue Areno, based on her father, writer Inoue Mitsuharu, her mother, and writer and Buddhist monk Setouchi Jakucho. Director Hiroki Ryuichi of Vibrator and screenwriter Arai Haruhiko have teamed up to bring to light a dense human drama.
In 1966, Osanai Miharu (Terajima Shinobu) and Shiraki Atsuro (Toyokawa Etsushi) meet on a lecture tour and become as man and wife despite both having existing relationships. Atsuro's wife, Shoko (Hirosue Ryoko), on the other hand, is aware of all this, but remains undisturbed.
