[ Story ]

A family drama based on a column written by the owner of a popular ramen restaurant. Set in Higashikurume City in Fukuoka Prefecture, known for its tonkotsu ramen, it energetically depicts the struggles of a son to recreate the taste of his father's recipe. Hikaru (Watanabe Dai) works for a design company in Tokyo, but when his father suddenly dies, he returns to his hometown to take over his ramen restaurant. However, he lacks confidence in his work, and ends up clashing with the staff. Then one day when Hikaru and his mother Yoshiko (Yamaguchi Sayaka) visit a food stall street, he is told of his father's youthful devotion to the flavor of his ramen.
