[ Story ]
In 2011, eighty-one-year-old international opera singer Okamura Takao brought his revised version of "Madama Butterfly" to Italy. This tearful and moving documentary captures the process from preparation to performance, with narration by actress Baisho Chieko. Okamura had long been troubled by the mistaken depictions of Japan in the opera Madama Butterfly. He rewrites Puccini's script and plans a performance in Italy, but is notified by the Puccini Foundation that they will not approve his changes.
