Based on two books by architect Sakaguchi Kyohei, this drama sheds light on the way of life of the homeless. By contrasting the lifestyles of people living in a corner of a park, a junior high school student on an elite career path, and his fastidious mother, it questions the nature of happiness. Director Tsutsumi Yukihiko departs from his usual eccentric filmmaking style, using black and white visuals to depict societal imbalance.
Suzuki (Ito Takao) and his companion Sumi (Ishida Eri) assemble a makeshift "home" of their own. They make a living from collecting aluminum cans and recycling waste material, but are eventually caught up in a crime.
