[ Story ]
This documentary shot over two and a half years follows children of Japanese Brazilian workers struggling to find a place where they fit in. It captures their resilience after returning to Brazil, despite being separated from their friends and sweethearts. Many Japanese Brazilians were employed by factories in Hamamatsu, Japan from an early age due to their foreign nationality. The global economic downturn of 2008 had a devastating effect on their lives, causing them to lose their jobs, and forcing them to return to Brazil.
