An official selection of the 2008 Tokyo International Film Festival. Production company Madhouse ({The Girl Who Leapt Through Time}) presents this feature-length animated adaptation of Hiromoto Shinichi's dark fantasy manga "HELLS ANGELS". Rinne (voice: Fukuen Misato), a cheerful high school student, is involved in a traffic accident on the way to her first day at her new school. She picks herself up as if nothing happened and resumes her journey, but her final destination is a school in hell called Sanzunokawa Gakuen. Armed with her only weapon - her innate cheerfulness - Rinne battles to find a way back to the world of the living.
