[ Story ]

A documentary that looks at how people lived through the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th 2011. Compiled from interviews with thirty-seven students, their guardians, and teachers from Kadonowaki Elementary School in Ishinomaki City, it brings to light what happened and what situations people found themselves in on that day.
Fourteen elementary schools in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture sustained severe damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake, and 186 students died or were unaccounted for. The people of Kadonowaki Elementary School look back on the sixteen-hour period from 2:46pm, when the earthquake struck.
