[ Story ]
Documentary that reveals the truth about the forced "Gyokusai" in Okinawa during the final stages of the Pacific War in 1945. Elucidated through the testimony of survivors, including Kerama Island residents, army civilians conscripted from the Korean Peninsula, and enforced sex slave.
Roughly 200,000 people died in the Battle of Okinawa. Before the U.S. forces landed, the Japanese military ordered the island locals to "Gyokusai." Some people were massacred, others starved, and some committed suicide.… This film delves into the truth through reflecting on memories of the "Gyokusai sites" with those who miraculously survived.
