[ Story ]
Toru (Okada Junichi) is a university student in Tokyo. From the window of his apartment, he can see the famous landmark, Tokyo Tower, which reminds him of the secret in his life. Toru is having an affair with an older woman, Shifumi (Kuroki Hitomi), with whom he fell in love in high school. Shifumi is married and is a friend of Toru's mother, but nobody knows about their affair. Toru's friend, Koji (Matsumoto Jun), is also having an affair with an older, married woman named Kimiko(Terajima Shinobu), though he has a girlfriend his own age. Toru is serious about Shifumi, but Koji is only fooling around with Kimiko. Gradually though, they both become more deeply involved with their partners and end up suffering the pains of love. When both relationships come to an end, Toru goes to France to try to put his past behind him, but he cannot forget Shifumi. Finally, Shifumi divorces her husband and joins him in France and they begin their relationship again.
Tokyo Tower is based on the title novel by bestselling romance author, Ekuni Kaori.
