The latest feature film based on the animated sea-bound adventure television series popular around the world. Creator Oda Eichiro acts as supervising producer for the first time in three years for this powerful depiction of the exploits of a team of pirates searching for the world's ultimate treasure, One Piece. Its screenplay is provided by television scriptwriter Suzuki Osamu, a self-professed fan of the original manga.
The Dyna Stone, which contains an energy comparable to the ancient weapons, has been stolen. The mastermind of the theft, Z (voice: Otsuka Hochu), is a former navy admiral who vows to eradicate all pirates. Straw Hat Pirates lead by Luffy (voice: Tanaka Mayumi) prepare to engage him in battle.
