[ Story ]
A grand historical drama adapted from Yoshinaga Fumi's offbeat manga that is also a sequel to O-OKU -The Women of the Inner Palace-. Set in a fictional version of the Edo Period (1603-1868) where the societal roles of men and women have been switched, it paints a gorgeous picture of love and hate among 3,000 men who serve a solitary female shogun. It forms half of a two-part story that began with the television series "O-OKU: Tanjo -Arikoto Iemitsu Hen" (The Lady Shogun and Her Men) which screened from October to December of 2012, and takes place in the era of the fifth Tokugawa dynasty shogun Tsunayoshi (Kanno Miho), three reigns before the events depicted in the previous film.
As turmoil continues over who will succeed the shogun, aristocrat Emonnosuke (Sakai Masato) joins her harem and begins to secretly scheme to seize the reins of power.
