[ Story ]
Family drama themed on Ozu Yasujiro's Tokyo Story, which inscribed its name on Japanese cinema history. Director Yamada Yoji, embarking on his fiftieth year as a director, depicts the existence of contemporary families as part of his homage to Ozu's film.
Hirayama Shukichi (Hashizume Isao) and his wife Tomiko (Yoshiyuki Kazuko) leave their small island in the Seto Inland Sea to meet their children in Tokyo. But, their children are busy with work, and they fail to get together right away. The family was to draw closer, but instead they grow increasingly further apart.
