A crime suspense film based on the short story Tokai no Yaju (beast of the city) by Naoki Prize-winning author Osaka Go. It depicts a tense game of deception played by two men and women over 200 million yen in stolen money. Its director is Kadoi Hajime, who is gaining a growing reputation for his intricate psychological portrayals.
Kimura, the proprietor of wine bar "Night People", hires an intelligent and beautiful woman named Moeko (Sato Eriko) who visits his establishment. However, one day he encounters detective Sone (Sugimoto Tetta) who tells him that Moeko is an ex-con who has stolen 200 million yen from a powerful politician.
