Second film adaptation of Higashino Keigo's "Galileo" story, in which Fukuyama Masaharu plays genius physicist Yukawa Manabu. Snakes and Earrings star Yoshitaka Yuriko plays the female detective who teams up with the protagonist. Directed by Nishitani Hiroshi, who also helmed the first film.
A corpse is discovered in Harigaura, a seaside town being rocked by development plans, and foul play is suspected. Bureau detective Kishitani Misa (Yoshitaka) asks for help from physicist Yukawa Manabu (Fukuyama), who happens to be staying at the location. He gets involved in the investigation, and tackles this puzzling crime in which complex relationships come into play.
