The second live-action adaptation (made two years after the first film) of Amako Soubei's comedy manga for children that has also become an animated series for national broadcaster NHK. Students at a school for ninja throw themselves into an adventure involving a magic sword. Its director Tasaki Ryuta is known for his work on the Heisei era {Kamen Rider} series.
While enjoying their summer break, Rantaro (Kato Seishishiro) and his junior ninja classmates start to panic upon realizing they have completely forgotten to do their holiday assignment. Instead of receiving supplementary lessons, they end up on a quest to find the stolen magical sword Gokurakumaru...
