[ Story ]
Up-close coverage of the violent conflict between police and residents, including many elderly people, who staged a massive sit-in protest at the Futenma base in September 2012 to oppose the construction of a landing strip for the Osprey, the U.S. military's new transport aircraft. Depicts Okinawa today, while interweaving little-known historical facts, including the "Vietnamese village" where local residents were dragged out to play the parts of guerilla soldiers for U.S. military exercises in the 1960s. Numerous awards include the Citizens' Prize and Director's Guild of Japan Award at the 2013 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
