Written, produced, directed, and edited by Mikami Yasuo. This authentic samurai film features powerful action direction by Kuze Hiroshi and was filmed entirely on location at important cultural sites and on snowy plains.
Three years after the great famine of the Kyoho era (1716-1735), normality is restored to the lives of the Inaba clan. However, shogunate agent Matsumiya Juzo (Meguro Yuuki) is acting suspiciously. Araki Minayoshi (Wakabayashi Go), a retainer in charge of the clan's castle, orders Funase Daigo (Nakahara Takeo) to keep an eye on him. Meanwhile, master swordsman Harada Daihachiro (Hira Takehiro) makes every effort to fulfil the wishes of retainer Kagawa Hiroki (Wakizaki Tomohito).
