A short film from director Okita Shuichi and screenwriter Maeda Shiro, known for the work on A Story of Yonosuke. This project originated from a magazine book edited by actress and model Kikuchi Akiko, and employs a heartwarming touch to depict the struggle of a mamedaifuku (a rice cake filled with red bean jam) entering a confectionery competition.
It is the age of "sweet supremacy," in which everyone lives for three o'clock snacktime. At Mamedaifuku Headquarters on the verge of a general election to decide the top confectionery, the decreasinglyy popular mamedaifuku candidate (voice: Shiga Kentaro) and his secretary (Kikuchi) are locked in a desperate struggle.
