Samurai drama that adapts newcomer Tsuchihashi Akihiro's script, helmed by Kamogawa Horumo director Motoki Katsuhide. Humorously depicts a minor feudal domain lord who uses his wits to get himself out of hot water when the Shogunate gives him an impossible order.
The year is 1736. The Shogunate's elder council comes up with a scheme to order the Yunagaya Domain in Iwaki Province to undertake the "sankin kotai" journey to Edo, the capital city. What is the brilliant idea hatched by domain lord Naito Masaatsu (Sasaki Kuranosuke) and his chief retailer Soma Kanetsugu (Nishimura Masahiko) when faced with the crazy order to complete the eight-day journey in just five days?
