Bilocation director Asato Mari wields beautifully fantastic images for this adaptation of Otsuka Eiji's novel, inspired by the horror game series "Zero". Students at an all-girls academy deep in the mountains deal with unexplainable disappearances.
Girls who see an apparition of Aya (Nakajo Ayami) disappear one after another at a school sequestered deep in the forest. They are eventually found drowned. Michi (Morikawa Aoi) sees the apparition and teams up with the real Aya to get to the bottom of the curse.
