An animated feature film based on a manga series that has sold over 130 million copies, and is also popular overseas. Creator Kishimoto Masashi acts as story supervisor and character designer for this adaptation of a story that follows on from that of the original manga, which came to the end of its serialized run in November of 2014.
The moon begins to move closer to the Earth. If it continues its course, the moon will disintegrate, raining debris upon the Earth and causing the extinction of mankind. Naruto (voice: Takeuchi Junko) and his friends begin an investigation, which brings them to a underground zone that bears a massive cursed inscription.
