[ Story ]
Young director Tsuruoka Keiko, whose directorial debut The Town of Whales was screened at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival 2013, shot this mystery in her hometown of Ueda in Nagano Prefecture. She garnered attention for her bold direction in rendering a village completely empty of people.
One morning, high school student Mado (Kobayashi Mariko) wakes up to find that the people in her life have vanished. Mado walks through the streets with her sole remaining classmate Fujii (Shimizu Naoya), and they arrive at the abandoned factory where her father died.
