Film adaptation of Araki Gen's same-titled novel about the struggles of a TV crew exploring remote destinations. The cast features distinctive actors like Fujiwara Tatsuya, Ozawa Yukiyoshi, and Santamaria Yusuke, whose hardcore performances include eating real lizards and speaking a made-up language.
Down-on-his-luck actor Sugisaki (Fujiwara) becomes the team leader on a TV show about exploration. The group heads for the remote Beran Republic in search of the mythological creature Yaaga, but he's at the mercy of the production crew's whims and faces an endless series of unexpected events.
