Animation adaptation of prematurely deceased author Itoh Keikaku's story based on the novel completed by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Enjo Toh. This enigmatic drama set in an imaginary 19th century deals with the art of bring people back from the dead. Produced by WIT STUDIO of Attack on Titan.
It's the close of the 19th century. The world has embarked on an era where dead bodies are brought back to life and the reanimated corpses are used for labor. Gifted medical student Watson (voice: Hosoya Yoshimasa) undertakes a secret mission from the British government to find the private papers from a century ago that mark the origins of the science.
