Sequel film for the TV animated series "Beyond the Boundary" produced by Kyoto Animation. Presents completely new material, picking up the story a year after the previous film's conclusion. Directed by Ishidate Taichi, who also handled the TV series and first part of the movie.
Akihito (voice: KENN) is a half "youmu," or supernatural creature, and Mirai is from another world and has the power to vanquish him (voice: Taneda Risa). Their fight is over and everything has returned to normal, but Mirai's memories have vanished. This means Mirai and Akihito are to plunge into fighting again…
