[ Story ]

A love story that portrays love and hate between boys, centered on a mysterious murder case that takes place in a prison directed by Miike Takashi of One Missed Call (Chakushin Ari). The original story is a mystery novel, 'Shonen A Elegy', which took its theme from a real murder case that occurred in Tokyo.
A quiet young man, Ariyoshi (Matsuda Ryuhei) and a violent rogue Kagetsu (Ando Masanobu) are jailed by coincidence on the same day for murder. The two are different characters, but they were attracted to each other from the first moment. One day, Kagetsu is found strangled to death. Ariyoshi confesses to the crime, but mysteries remain with the case. The inspector (Ishibashi Renji) and the assistant inspector (Endo Kenichi) start to investigate. Their inquiries reveal another suspect, which is the new governor of the prison (Ishibashi Ryo). His wife was raped by Kagetsu in the past, and consequently she killed herself. Finally, the real criminal is caught - it turns out to be Tsuchiya (Shibukawa Kiyohiko) from the same community cell.
