Based on Kimoto Shinji's science fiction novel, which won the 3rd Komatsu Sakyo Award, an internationally acclaimed director, Miike Takashi, of Sukiyaki Western Django and Audition, imaginatively adapted it into an adolescent comedy while making full use of CG.
A rocker and a part-time employee at a sushi restaurant, Motokazu (Ichihara Hayato), is at a subatomic physics seminar to register on the attendance roll for his twin brother who has gone on an overseas trip. There, Motokazu is asked by Professor Hatomura (Ishida Yuriko) to coax truant Homizu Saraka (Tanimura Mitsuki) to come back to college. Saraka is a genius who designed the experimental machine to figure out the Big Bang by creating subatomic particles. Saraka is lured to college by Motokazu's chance question, ‘whether it is possible to create a universe from scratch'. However, her machine does not work as intended and Saraka becomes isolated. Despising the fact that she was born by artificial insemination, Saraka declares that if God exists, then God will stop her, and attempts to conduct the ultimate experiment with the machine. In order to save her, Motokazu prevents the experiment in his own foolishly honest way.
