Maekawa Tomohiro's Yomiuri Engeki Taisho-winning science fiction play is adapted to film by Irie Yu, who was highly praised for his "8000 MILES" series. It depicts a near-future in which the population of the human race has been sharply reduced by biological terrorism and the surviving humans clash with a new breed of human being.
Amid the havoc of a killer virus in the early twenty-first century, a new breed of human species, the Nox, are born with the antibodies to the virus. Nox are weak to sunlight, but are endowed with young, healthy bodies and a keen intellect. They subjugate the earlier species of humans and call them "curios". Tetsuhiko (Kamiki Ryunosuke), a young, male curio, looks up to the Nox despite being impoverished.
