The fifth documentary about idol group AKB48. It is directed by former NHK producer, Ishihara Shin, who has continued to follow the group since before they became popular.
2015 should have been the year commemorating the 10th anniversary of the group's formation, but Takahashi Minami, so far the group's first and only forewoman, stepped down at the end of the year. Her successor, Yokoyama Yui, assumed the role of forewoman as AKB48 ushered in a period of transformation. Throughout these proceedings, the camera records the backstage drama which occured between the members. It also follows the rise of AKB48's sister groups and the activities of former members in other fields.
