A suspense-thriller adapted from Tomoe Ryosuke's identically titled manga which made waves with its intense story developments and extremely graphic imagery. Otomo Keishi, of the "Rurouni Kenshin" series, directs.
Metropolitan Police 1st Division investigator, Sawamura Hisashi (Oguri Shun), is pursuing cases of bizarre homicides taking place on rainy days. He concludes from mysterious memos left at the crime scene, and from the way the corpses were treated as if meant to be found, the suspect is the "Frog Man", who wears the mask of a frog over his head. However, Sawamura is ensnared in the Frog Man's machinations, which casts him into the pits of despair.
